- which med are you taking? Zepbound 10mg
- has it worked well for you? somewhat, I lost 20 pounds, having been on it July-December 2025
- is it pretty useless? yes, honestly.
- are there bad side effects? I did not experience any but I was only on it for a rew months
- did you expect the results to be different? (better/worse) I was told it was going to be better but I found myself still feeling "starving" most of the time. perhaps I should have been on a higher dose.
- would you recommend it? that's entirely up to you but giving myself weekly shots and paying co-pays for over six months for a 20lb loss I would not. It however showed me losing is possible with assistance.
- how old are you? 58 female
Thank you Michelle. I saw my doctor today and she wrote me a Rx for Mounjaro, which is not what I wanted. I didn't specify but had intended to ask for the Wegovy pill. I have certain comorbidities that led me to that choice.
That 10mg dosage you mention sounds high, but I'm not all that well-informed about it. However, 20 pounds is RIDICULOUS. Something had to be off. Also, there isn't supposed to be a strong sense of starvation.
Please don't be offended if I ask you a question that's too personal, but the first thing I wondered was, "What did you eat?" Even being on a medication for a few months, it seems you should have lost a lot more. Did you go to an actual doctor, or one of the millions of "clinics" that have been sprouting up like weeds, which are not regulated and do not meet FDA standards? And man, would I be mad if I had to give myself injections and still didn't see fantastic results. If you were on a reasonable diet and using the drug correctly, I'd be reporting this "prescriber" to the police or the Feds.
If you would rather speak privately about this, click the little envelope icon in the upper right, next to your username, and send me a private message. But I'm telling you, your experience sounds Fd up. I would assume your "practitioner/prescriber" would have been checking on you at least every two weeks and making adjustments as needed. If my Rx is the injector and I don't lose weight well and quickly, I'm going to be knocking down the Rocky Mountains with my complaints!
Thanks, again.
