I hope this will help me. I have no support system since surgery because my doctor quit. Feels like I am out in the dark. She was a very good doctor and they had an excellent program, especially pre surgery education. I was hospitalized for a stomach bleed because dangerous low iron count. I still can’t eat meat. Don’t know where to turn.

I encourage you to look for another bariatric surgeon, bariatric dietitian, or even a hematologist if your iron levels continue to be an issue. You deserve ongoing support, especially when you're dealing with complications and nutritional concerns.

Bariatric surgery isn't just a one-year journey, it's a lifelong one. Many people need guidance years after surgery, whether it's for nutrition, deficiencies, weight changes, or simply having someone knowledgeable to turn to. I hope this group can help fill some of that gap while you work on finding a new medical team.
