Holiday Anxiety

My social anxiety is at a peek right now. Tonight is my Christmas Eve celebration with my huge extended family. While it's great to see a lot of my loved ones, it's literally wall to wall people and of course some who gossip and whisper behind your back. I'm sure the talk will be yeah, she's loosing weight now but she'll gain it all back in no time. And the old standby, the talk of why I can't get a man. No wonder I drank, hehe. ;)

I know it's common to be a ball of nerves this time of year, even when things are going well. I'm with all of you struggle with this!

Getting ready to meditate, which I've been slacking on. I'm also going to repeat these 5 affirmations:
  • I attract only healthy relationships
  • I love my family members just as they are, I do not try to change anyone
  • I do not have to prove myself to anyone
  • The more peaceful I am inside, the more peace I have to share with others
  • Today, no person, place, or thing can irritate or annoy me, I choose to be at peace
Thanks for listening guys & Merry Christmas!!!

I would like to offer you two edits in the spirit of affirmations being a recitation of a positive reality and an absence of any negative thought. So I would say "I'm proving myself every day," and "I choose to be at peace," and leave out the other Concepts that will remind your brain of the negatives.
Thanks Diane, good advice.

I have been begging my management company to do something about him, to evict him and have been extremely upset at the constant abuse that I have had to take from him. But now that he is gone, I am having horrible feelings of guilt. I don't feel happy that this is happening to him or that I will finally have peace and quiet.
Please try not to feel guilty, I'm sure any of us would have been at wits' end over this miserable, uncontrollable situation. And you say that family members have been the ones moving out his things. No matter what his situation, they are there for him and he's blessed for that.

You bring the sunshine with you everywhere you go.
That is one of the best compliments I've ever received, my eyes filled up reading it. :) Thank you, I love you. :)

Just keep talking about it and build on the Positiveness and tell the negatives to kick rocks. You are not alone keeping you in my Prayers!!!
