How I long for a belly laugh. I didn’t realize how many stomach muscles are used to laugh and cough. I was watching a TV show and now I am hesitant to laugh because it hurt and coughing…whew that really hurts. How long after surgery were you able to laugh or cough without pain?

It’s hard to say as healing is different for everyone. Maybe a couple months depending on the surgery, but not pain that long, possibly just soreness. I’m 18 months out and I still get sore after a night of laughter.
