Hi, 7 weeks post op.

I had rny. I spent 5 weeks in hospital due to complications with gastropraesis and surgery. I couldn't get food or drink down. Now I am on meds and okay but I sleep a lot due to health issues...

When I am awake I am constantly stuffing my face with protein, water, then food. Timing 30 minutes each and because of my sleep schedule I run out of time. It takes 2 hours of my day to get meds in as I take a lot of big pills and they get caught in my throat. They have mentioned a feeding tube and at this point I want to give up and surrender. I hate eating and feel like I am technically eating more than I did before surgery. I am exhausted and feel like a slave to this surgery as it has completely consumed my life.

Your recovery sounds like it's been extremely complicated. Do you have a medical team that can see to all your concerns? Or maybe even a supportive therapist? It really sounds like you need some extensive support.

I hope you can get some personal attention. It sounds like you're having such a hard time and the frustration and anger are hurting YOU. It shouldn't be that way. Reach out to a clinic that specializes in these issues if you can.

Have and don't feel supported.
