Hi, I somewhat see a change in myself I went from 272 to 235 and I had my surgery on July 30th but I feel like right now I’m stalling. Like I can’t move past that 235 I do realize I need to up my protein because at college I’m sure the grilled chicken I get on occasion isn’t the best for me so im upping my protein. I am also working out at softball everyday so I feel like maybe I should be dropping more but I’m not sure if maybe I am not because of the weight lifting I’m doing and if once I up my protein even more will I start to lose again?

It could be that you have hit your first plateau. This happens to everyone at some point, so it isn't just you. With working out for sports, that is increasing your muscles and of course that weighs more than fat. I would keep an eye on your measurements. You may not see the scale change right now, but your body is probably changing in other ways. Keep tracking every bite you put into your mouth to to make sure it isn't something you are eating that is going against the active lifestyle you have going on. Good luck!

Congrats on the 37 pounds lost! Great Job, considering you only had surgery 7 weeks ago!!! Stalls are totally normal here and there. I know that doesn't make this any less frustrating though. Remind yourself that as long as you're keeping to your program, your body will catch-up. And as missdarmitage suggested, measurements help to see progress when the scale isn't moving. You've got this! :)

I'm sure glad I came across this one. I've lost 12 pounds and have been at the same weight (yes, I'm looking at the scale) for over a week. I'm trying to up my protein too but so far no progress. I'm going to do what's suggested here too and use my tape measure. I'm really glad I read this because I was a little down about it and knowing that this could be normal makes me feel so much better. :)

I don’t keep a scale in the house just for that reason. They disappoint me. I know I’m changing. I pants are getting longer which to me mean they don’t have as much butt to hold them up now. My bras are getting easier to put on. Even my foot are doing something.;)
