Insurance Approval

I got my letter today that I was approved. Not sure what is next since covid has affected elective surgeries. I am going to call tomorrow and see what is next. I am relieved to have gotten this far but also my anxiety about the surgery has kicked in.

I’m going to call tomorrow so we can start moving forward. I am not sure if there is back up due to covid. I just want to get it done before school starts for me and the kids in the fall.

Congratulations, that is great news that the ball is rolling again. It's natural to have some anxiety in even ideal circumstances but I'm sure your team will be able to put you at ease.

How long did it take from your insurance being approved until when your doctor sent over the forms?

I have a coordinator with the bariatric program who handles all of the paperwork. The insurance was submitted and I got my letter a week later. The next day the coordinator contacted me and scheduled my surgery date. I am supposed to get my checklist with everything that I need to do by the end of the week.
