My name is Cori and I’m new to the group. I just had surgery on October 31. I am four days postop. I am really sad and regretful of my decision. I’m looking for someone to talk to to feel better about what happened. I wish I can go back and change my decision. I just want my normal life back.

I hope by the time you read this, you're feeling better. But you may go back and forth with your emotions for a while.

And your "normal life" included eating habits that led you to obesity and dangerous health outlooks. You have the opportunity to adopt and new kind of normal life filled with joy and health and possibilities. Please try to open yourself up to that by keeping a journal, writing down new goals you couldn't have reached before and even spending money on things like great new clothes, vacation ideas, activities that don't involve eating, and reaching out to people to make new friends.
