Thanks...something to think aboutI would have a conversation with them and let them know you would like the support not grief. Not that they would. I am blessed to have the support of my whole family. I explained I was in need to get healthier and not the fad diets. you can give them all the information. If they have questions beyond what you know, invite them to come to your next appointment so all there questions and concerns can be addressed. Let them have some websites to do a little research for themselves or show them what you have learned by showing them the info you found. that you have made an informed decision. Hope that helps.

I am about 2 months pre-op, I am looking for any advise anyone could share. I haven't shared this with my family and friends yet not sure if that's the right thing but I feel like i need support that j wouldn't get from them.
I've been told by a few people that strength training can help with the loose skin. I think building up the muscles tightens up the skin. Not going to get rid of all of it, but should help. I know one gentleman who lost close to 300 lbs and does 1000 sit-ups per day. You can't see any loose skin on his stomach area. Thanks for the advice. I really just feel like it's not necessarily something i need to share just yet with them, I'm doing it for me. I guess s big concern I'm dealing with now is I'm afraid of looking worse due to lose skin, how has that gone for everyone?
