I was told this and wished I did it from the very beginning. Take your body measurements in the very beginning of your journey. Many of us hang on to our old fat clothes after surgery or don't trust our own eyes in the mirror. We often go through one, two, and three week stalls when the scale won't move. All this contributes to negativity and discouragement. Yet, while this is going on---> our body is STILL shrinking! Take your chest, bosom, waist, hip, arm and thigh measurements. It will amaze you!

It truly will. I lost 20 inches off my waist alone. It's especially important to measure yourself if you suffer from body dysmorphia, like a lot of us do. You may not be able to see how thin you are getting.

I suffer from that! I forgot what it was called. My husband calls me, "skinny." I tell him that he's "crazy!" I just can't see it.

I will definitely do that Tex when I get a clearance. Have a note book ready!

I know, I really wish I'd had done this at the beginning!!! It didn't occur to me until later. I did start a couple weeks ago so at least now I have some kind of record.
