Hi all! Hope everyone is having a good week. I am 4 weeks post op today and down 30 pounds - yay!!! I have a question... that in theory is very silly but in the world of WLS is important! I love shredded chopped up chicken (currently on mushy phase). I mix it with a tbsp sugar free bbq sauce and it’s a nice warm savory dinner. Here’s the thing. I have been weighing out exactly 2oz of chicken on my food scale. Tonight all my little snack bowls I like to use were in the dishwasher so I just put my weighted out dinner in a measuring cup
to eat...and it was 4oz!!!! I do realize 2oz of chicken on the scale is different than 4 FLUID oz - but I measure food sometimes in cups and sometimes on the scale and I am worried I’m messing up my macros. Now I’m like, what’s accurate?! What do you guys favor for measuring solid foods? Thanks in advance!
