I was advised that my birth control pills would be less effective so I switched to the shot. I'm on Zoloft for anxiety/depression and that still works fine. When you meet with your doctor, they will go over your meds and make suggestions if you're on anything "extended release" or that may not absorb well.

I hope to eventually get off several medications after my surgery...blood pressure meds, Metformin, and a couple others. However, I take Duloxatine and Hydroxyzine. I hope I won't have to change those.

I do not have a surgery date yet. My third bariatric dietician appointment is on June 17th. Then everything will get submitted to Premera with the pre-authorization form. I'm hoping MultiCare and Premera are still working together by May 31st and they have a new contract on that date. If they don't, everything may be delayed because I'll need to find new doctors and dieticians.
