Hello everyone. I am scheduled for bariatric surgery(the sleeve) on Dec 13th. (providing it doesnt get postponed due to covid). I am really nervous. Did anyone have any 2nd thoughts about going through with the surgery?

Welcome Miss Violet. I had no second thoughts. I did it because I want to live longer. I need to lose weight to help another health issue that I have. No regrets here!

Welcome! I was SO nervous, but not nervous enough to have second thoughts. The new lease on life was worth all of it.

Hello and Welcome! I absolutely had second thoughts! I was so scared I considered leaving after I got to the hospital lol However, I just kept reminding myself that I was doing it for my future and even if it wasn't easy it had to be done for my health. I cannot express how happy I am that I went through with it. I would do it again every day and twice on Sundays!

Second thoughts? Maybe for about a minute, but I definitely have no regrets after having turned 60 and losing 60+ lbs since surgery in July. I can see no downsides to having WLS. Good luck with your journey.

Welcome Miss Violet! Keep reminding yourself all the reasons you have for doing this surgery. Maybe that will quiet down those second thought feelings. It's natural to be nervous, just keep your eye on your goal. Good luck!!
