New here and question

New here. In my 5th month of pre surgery. Had scope done on Tuesday doctor said have pulps and will have the sleeve instead of the bypass.
Wondering how much pain will have following surgery. Want to get back on feet ASAP after surgery. Reading some of the posts it sounds that it is very painful. Worried.

Welcome to the group. Sleeve surgery recovery is slightly faster than bypass or DS surgery, simply because the surgery only involves removing part of the stomach, not rerouting anything or reattaching parts. You should be okay and the pain is bearable, you are just sore for a bit afterwards. Good luck on your surgery!

Hello,
I am post op surgery 5 weeks. Very little pain discomfort after getting home. I do have to say I was surprised how uncomfortable I was first day after the surgery. My surgeon said that on the next day I would be a new person. He was right! Felt so much better the next day! Good luck!
