You have come to a place that is very supportive. The regulars her are amazing and encouraging. Best part is that it is open 24/7. There are long timers and short timers. You can get a lot of information here that you never knew to ask about. If you have a bad day they cheer you up. Can’t ask for a more supportive community.

After surgery I thought I was doing good with food steps, but it is more and sometimes you just have to be patient. I would eat a pkg of oatmeal one day and not be able to eat it the next, I never thought I felt nauseous but my tummy was unsettled and uncomfortable. It would stay that way for hours, a sip or drink of water would just set it off more. It does get better as time goes on.

Hi, Wendy, welcome to the group! It can be a little daunting to be post op after so long planning for the surgery. One week out you are probably still on a liquid diet. How's that going? Are you tolerating your protein drinks okay? Some of us were fine, others really struggled to keep anything down those first few weeks. The best advice I can give you is to try to get in your protein and your water. That alone is hard work in the beginning. Good luck for continued success.
