hey Jamie, this is Mae, nice to meet you. I started this journey over a year ago. I was in the program for almost my six months before I was to get approved for surgery and then I backed out. I got scared and backed out. Then I went through the six month thing again seeing the doctors every month and I had my surgery April 15, 2026. I had gastric sleeve. I’m 20 days postop. Everything has went pretty good. It was hard in the beginning to get enough liquid down it’s hard to get in the amount of shake that they want you to put in, but I’m in the purée stage now and it’s been kind of tough to keep food down. Your stomach fills up real fast, but I believe we can make it through this journey.

It took me a month to actually call the surgeon's office after I decided to go through with the procedure. I just overthought everything and was worried about what people would say. Glad you made the call!
