Dude hang in there. Jerky helps me beat the cravings and take away that urge for the salty or spicy foods. Silly as this sounds tobacco sauce also helps me beat that drive.

Hi Ed.. WELCOME to the Forum!!!

You have done AMAZINGLY well losing almost 200 lb. How WONDERFUL!!! Whatever you did to lose your first 200lb, do it again and you will be thin! Don't sabotage yourself by eating chips and popcorn as your snacks. They are full of fat and carbs and have no nutritional value. Make a list of food type snacks you like. Apple's, grapes, fruit does have carbs but they are good for you too. Just eat them in moderation. I like to buy rotisserie chicken and grab a chunk of meat and stick it in the microwave for a few seconds when I get hungry. A good salad with chicken in it is filling to me. If you are getting overly hungry between meals then you probably need to up your protein intake. Don't allow chips and popcorn to be brought into the house. You can't give in and eat them if they are not there.

Good luck on your journey to better health! You are halfway there, don't sabotage yourself!!! We can do this :) We are here to support one another!

First of all, keep to the calorie intake that your surgeon's team/nutritionist etc., recommended for you.

Each individual is different.

You must make sure you get 80 to 90 grams of protein a day. This is what sates any hunger issues. Quite frankly, I am amazed that you say you are hungry. Are you hungry physically or is this a head game going on?

Work with your bariatric psychologist and your nutrionist on this as well.

Get involved with a local support group. Attend meetings. In your case I would recommend attending weekly. Yes, you have done so well to date; congratulations. But the journey is life long and you are already falling into old bad habits.

I have one word for that; DON'T !!!!

Once you reach goal you will be able to enjoy your treats again, but in limited quantity.

Getting back to your food intake each day.

Log everything that you consume. I use www.caloriecount.com.

It is an excellent tool and a terrific support forum as well.

Best wishes,

Ralph
