Only One Issue So Far

RNY was April 8, 2019. I realize I'm very recent post op, but I do have one concern. Additional background, I am a healthcare professional, so normally I don't press the panic button too quickly, but..... Everything regarding intake (both fluids and puree (baby) foods now) are going down without any issues at all. My problem is, which did not exist pre op, is it's NOT coming out very smooth. My BM's have become more regular in the last week (Maybe every day and a half now) since surgery, but I dread going because it is actually tearing the tissue in that area (externally) with each go. I don't mean just a little swollen area, I actaully feel a laceration and it's because my junk is big and as solid as a rock. I had my two week follow up this past Friday, and the team is happy with how I'm doing, but I'm not sure I was taking completely seriously in regards to my gigantanormous painful stools. This is occurring even with the following supplements: Two Colace tabs in the A.M. and two in the evening, along with two daily doses on Benefiber. I tried Smooth Move a couple of times, and notice zero difference. The only thing that seems to help at all is Milk of Magnesia, which I fear developing a dependence upon. My hope is that once I start people food again and get more veggies, this will subside. For some reason, my body just doesn't care for daily boluses of protein, I.e. shakes. My question is probably obvious, but are there any suggestions out there on any products I have not tried? Thx Linc

Hello Lincoln- The same thing happened to me. Solid as a rock! Milk of Magnesia and Miralax have helped. I'm 5 weeks post op and the more water I drink and the more active I get seems to help.
