Purée diet— how much do I eat?

Hi—
I am two days from the start of the purée diet. With the liquid diet I’ve been drinking a sip of water, broth, or protein shakes every 15 min all day. How do I space out the purée diet? Do I “eat” a puréed breakfast, lunch and dinner; and drink water/broth/protein between? Do you track calories, protein, etc?

Here's my post-op nutritional plan:

My nutritionist was adamant about using Magic Milk. I've posted the recipe many times.

As to portion size, you should ask your nutritionist. There are also many nutritional plans posted by post-op people all over the internet. And there's another nutritional missive I created posted on my profile page. And you should find out, if you don't already know, how small your pouch is and base your portion size on that. But again, only with the medical information your nutritionist can provide about you, specifically.

But you really need to ask an expert. Educating yourself about nutritional facts will help you follow the plan you should have gotten from your nutritionist.
Thank you!

I was given pretty much the same as Mandy. But, honestly, I only did puree for dinner. It was just a LOT to adjust to. So, I sipped all day, rotating protein and reg water. Stop 30min. before dinner. Eat pureed dinner. Wait 30 minutes and sip sip sip some more. Breath a sigh of relief when I could stop drinking things and go to bed lol

As a side note, don't complicate the whole puree thing. You can only eat about 2oz. I made a mashed sweet potato that lasted me 3 days and then I opened a can of refried beans, added a sprinkle of spice and cheese and that finished out my week.

Yeah I only ate puree once a day. I couldn’t have gotten protein in without doing it that way. I’m pretty much the same on soft foods now. I eat dinner and have shakes the rest of the day. Just taking it slow. Still at about 2 ounces

I’m able to eat about 4 oz with no stomach ache or upset at all. From everyone here, they are only getting about 2 oz in— Now I’m wondering if that’s a problem—

Jodie, don't stress! Puree is not realky food .. Soft food isn't either. Once you get to actual, solid food your ounces will probably go down. Never, ever be upset that you eat comfortably. Just stick to the amounts you were told to eat by your bariatric team.

I went to 4 oz fairly quick with no problem. On soft foods for one more week, still do one shake a day to get in the protein. Eating 5 times a day, otherwise, between 2-4 oz at a time.
The reason I stop at 2 ounces is because that’s what my dietician told me to do. 3 ounces per meal at 1 month, then 4 ounces 2 months and beyond. My stomach could probably hold more at this point but my dietician was pretty specific so I just go with that. There are definitely times when I feel and want to eat more
