Thank You.
Hi Anthony, can I ask where you are in the process? Have you already met with a surgeon and/or decided on a type of surgery? If you have any questions or just want to vent, we're here. :)

Hi Brenda2010, yes I have met with surgeon and I have chosen the Gastric Sleeve Surgery. One of the requirements is to join a weight loss support group in which I have to show proof that I've joined. I haven't figured out how to do that yet. I only have to have an EGD and one last
visit with the dietitian before I can schedule surgery.

i am excited, worried, anxious, and i'm sure as time approaches i will become afraid.

Well good luck to you.
I found the closer I got to surgery, the less scared I was. I think for a lot of people it is just a matter of accepting you decision and thinking of all the god things that will come it.

That's great that you're well on your way. Most people have conflicting emotions at this point. Mimi is right, once you have a surgery date, you'll probably feel more settled in your decision and at that point, focus on the positives.

Does the hospital that your surgeon works at offer a support group? A lot of them in my area do. That's probably where I'd look first.

We're here if you have any questions or just want vent about your journey.

well since I live 6 hours away I was given the option to join an on-line support group. I was given a website, which led me here.
the dietitian told me there will be something here to print as proof of joining. I will contact her on Monday to question her again.
