2001 surgery rny bypass. I started at 356 and in 1 year I was down to 132 then tummy tuck and then down 13 more pounds now at 109 and I am fighting a few health problems due to surgery. Reflux, anemia and arthritis, osteoperosis, fatty liverI had a sleeve in 2017. Then a gastric bypass due to reflux. I can only eat 4 bites or I get sick. Has anyone else had this?
Yeah that can happen after a sleeve to bypass, your stomach is smaller and the flow is different, so you hit that “full then sick” point way faster. 4 bites sounds extreme though, that’s usually a sign you might be eating a bit too fast, not chewing enough, or something like a stricture or irritation going on. Try slowing it way down, tiny bites, chew like crazy, pause between bites and see if that helps. If it doesn’t improve, I’d definitely get it checked, sometimes they need to dilate things a bit. You shouldn’t be stuck at just a few bites long term.I had a sleeve in 2017. Then a gastric bypass due to reflux. I can only eat 4 bites or I get sick. Has anyone else had this?
Ramona, congratulations on your weight loss. I'm sad that you're dealing with the other health issues. Do you have a good medical team to work with to help with those issues? I hope so!
