It's been awhile since I've been here, but I had my RNY two weeks ago yesterday. It's been easier than I could have ever imagined it would be, and I feel blessed for that. The only issue that I'm having is extreme fatigue. I have multiple sclerosis and PKD so fatigue is nothing new for me, BUT I can't sleep. I have NEVER had a problem falling or staying asleep before. I can literally fall sleep anytime and anywhere...it's not unusual for me to sleep 12-13 hours a day. I would typically take medication to help me stay awake, but it suppresses my appetite. I'm only eating around 400 calories a day, I don't need to eat any less than that. So basically, I'm more exhausted than ever, but I can't sleep and I don't know why. I'm curious to know if anyone else has had issues with being able to fall asleep after surgery? I'm not in pain or uncomfortable, I just can't fall asleep.
