Here are the statistics that apply to our group at this very moment:
Having 22,000 members doesn't mean we'll see a lot of posts, as several thousand of these names may be members from 20 years ago who forgot to resign from the group when they got busy doing other things.
But when I first posted to this group more than 20 years ago, it was DEAD. Deader than disco. Then someone joined me. And then someone else joined. And with a handful of members, we just made sure we posted every day, multiple times a day, and suddenly a lot of casual surfers ran across us and joined in. The group became huge, and vital. It was easily the best group I belonged to since the lost days of newsgroups.
I hope anyone reading this will speak up, and maybe even share the group's URL with someone who might be interested in joining so they can be supported, or so they can offer support.

Today when I finished teaching and paperwork, I saw that I had a conversation that got a reply today and I was excited to get in here, read the conversation, and read many more. This is a safe, welcoming, encouraging, helpful place. I need this. Thank you!
