Hello all. I had my sleeve 3 days ago and I am struggling with a bad migraine and neck pain. I have had a bad migraine since the surgery. Has anyone else had any issues with this?

Do you have a bad headache, or a bad migraine headache? I ask because as I understand, migraine headaches are a chronic condition, though I don't know if there are triggers that cause them. My sister has them and she's been diagnosed with a problem in her actual brain.

If you have a headache with neck pain, could it be related to some way you hurt your neck or some posture while standing or lying down? Certainly it could be related to stress or some alignment problem. Or perhaps it relates to anesthesia, if you had that. It's been three days so I think it may be related to how you experienced the procedure.

FWIW, I've never heard this complaint from this group, so I think a followup with your doctor is a good idea.

Yes, 4 days post op VSG, head ache is lessening but not gone.

I am feeling better. I did call the Dr. the only thing she suggested was to watch for stroke symptoms and that I was possibly dehydrated. Thanks for checking up on me.

I'm really thankful that you are feeling better. Is the headache gone? It's so disheartening and frustrating that we have to constantly advocate for ourselves when it comes to our health. I do get very bad headaches when I get dehydrated. That's a real thing, for sure. You just went through a major surgery, so the doctor and their staff members should be answering your questions, examining you if you're up to going in to see them, and guiding you. Keep reaching out to your doc if you continue to not feel well. You matter!
