Hello and Hi,

I am 28 days post opp of my VSG surgery. I’m soo motivated and excited to be on this journey. It’s definitely taking every bit of will power and motivation to see the diet phases through. The food noise is insane!!! I’ve never watched soo many food review videos before now. If anyone has any helpful tips, I’d be super grateful. I’m looking forward to engaging and talking with you all ❤️

Congratulations on being one month post surgery! Every day gets easier and even though the food noise does not go away, it becomes easier to ignore over time. At one point my TikTok feed was completely food videos, basically anything with gooey cheese! Funny because post surgery too much melted cheese bothers my stomach but it still looks delicious!

Planning what I was going to eat helped keep me on track, that and keeping foods that I know I have a weakness for out of the house. I also tracked what I ate and my weight loss in the MyFitnessPal app.

Absolutely! I wrote a long post a week or so ago. WRITE EVERY CRUMB DOWN, and pre-measure the 96 ounces of water you should be drinking.

And about water: water ACCELERATES fat-burning. Consider it an essential part of each meal, and start your day with a glass of water before breakfast. No, coffee doesn't count. Look up water's benefits online, including at the federal nutrition sites, bariatric sites and medical sites from the AMA.

I offered some tips in my water post. <<<<<click there

Congratulations on taking such a big step! I definitely agree with having enough water. I also stayed caffeine free and found decaff alternatives to the drinks I love. I really enjoy a decaff cappuccino with non fat milk. I add Stevia to it. When you're allowed soft foods, I enjoy adding fruit to my protein shake.
