Hi... I'm Darla, I'm 4yrs post op gastric bypass. I unfortunately had a traumatic surgery where I almost died. I woke up 3 days later in another state. Completely terrified and confused. I'm mostly healed physically from that ordeal, but mentally is another story. I'm currently 187lbs, never got lower than 180, started at close to 300. I've been stalled at this weight, give or take 2-5lbs for well over 2.5 years. No matter what I do...... it won't come off. I have zero food noise or any desire to eat or drink.... EVER. I only eat because I know I need to, but not because I want to.... does anyone else experience this?

I'm sorry you went through that after surgery. Surviving such a difficult experience, losing over 100 pounds, and continuing to move forward takes a lot of strength.

I hear the frustration in feeling stuck at your current weight for so long. I was stuck at 188 lbs for a year and a half and no amount of exercise and diet made a difference. Someone suggested a bariatric reset, basically returning to the pre surgery diet for a few weeks, and I started losing weight again! Losing this last 60 lbs has been very slow, but after year and a half of sticking with it I have almost reached my goal.

I always start my day with a protein shake but have some days when I forget to eat anything else, but I'm also not hungry. That happens once or twice a week and I don't know why. I hope others who have had a similar experience with hunger and food interest will chime in.
