narrowing of the stomach.

has anyone else had narrowing of the stomach. I'm at the hospital now for 3 days. Cant keep anything down and in alot of pain. only allowed tylonal. haven't eaten anything in 3 days either. they gave me a glucose drip. waitinh on a bollon procedure for two days. been told my symptoms are not a priority in this hospital. Feel like crap and now hurting all over. don't know what to do. Also haven't lost any weight since I have been hear. think my bodys in starvation mode.

I have not personally, but I have know people that had strictures. They all had the balloon procedure as an outpatient procedure. Only one had to have it done more than once, but she has an issue with scar tissue overgrowth in general, so not a normal situation. I hope you are able to get your procedure done quickly and move on to feeling better.

I am so sorry that you are in the hospital. How dare anyone say that your procedure is not priority. You are in pain and not eating anything. Who is saying this? Call your surgeon or primary Dr and start complaining. I'm sending prayers and good wishes your way. Good luck, keep us posted.

thank you for the information. I had the Ballon procedure today. I pray it works. now I'm going to get a repeat swallowing xray to see if it worked. and a CT scan tonight and a second gi look thru for the lower stomach tomorrow. I'll keep you guys posted.
