My message may have been sent before but, I have had time to look. My surgery is the 22 of this month. Got to start my preop diet on the 8th. My husband doesn’t seem into helping. I don’t know how to get more help for him. Any suggestions?I guess I can tell I don’t know what I’m doing. Guess I’ll get quiet and read a while.

Welcome! Which procedure are you having done? I’m sorry to hear your husband isn’t helping much. When you decided to have the surgery and seek out a surgeon, did you talk to him about it? I ask not because you need his permission or anything, but just to get his perspective on it. This surgery is the biggest life change a lot of us experience-and it’s an awesome opportunity for our health! If someone you love doesn’t understand that you’re doing this for your health and longevity, maybe it’s time they see it from another perspective. Remind them that the healthier you are the longer you’ll live (we all hope), and be there for each other. There are a lot of people on here with great insight. I hope you’ll be able to find the help you’re looking for.
