Struggling but I’m new here

I’m struggling with wanting to idle eat, obviously I’m not eating and I know I’m not hungry, so I’m chewing gum but nothing is satisfying that want, but I don’t know what I’m actually looking for by wanting to eat

Have you thought about trying the "Free" items? Sugar free Jello? Sugar free popsicles, or broth/bouillon? Might help curb the craving?

I've come to the realization that I don't get the same satisfaction from eating that I used to. Maybe I was chasing the anticipation of eating more than the food itself. Post surgery, food moved from being a source of entertainment, comfort, or emotional fulfillment to being primarily nourishment.

I expected the weight loss and improved health, but I didn't expect to grieve the loss of food's emotional role in my life. It feels a little disappointing at times, but the tradeoff has been worth the results.
