kmrose even after surgery you do know it is more protein then carbs right. The doctor told me when I started the low carb diet, All meats and and green veggie is good. I have not ate fries, baked potatoes, mashed potatoes or any potatoes for 5 years now. it is hard. I have 4 boys and they love them my home made mashed potatoes. They love the fried potatoes with onions. But I know it is better for me to lose the weight. I have no health issues besides acid reflux really bad. I am just way to over weight and it is taking a toll on my body now. I tried to lose without the surgery but not going so well. I have done the medicine and the diets. Changed the way I cooked to how much I ate. I don't eat out at all. I am always cooking. My kids are spoiled by my food. They hate going to other peoples houses because they know they can go in the fridge and they can just grab some home cooked food to heat up. And through my whole thing my oldest son used to be over weight but those little changes does wonders. My son has slimmed down and is more active now. But I understand your reason for doing the surgery. It is just not as hard as you think. I always eat my meats first anyways and my veggies next. The only thing that changes is the fact of the amount of it. I have problems with portion control even when I control the portions I don't feel up all the way. So the surgery will help me for sure.
