So many people have this experience. I was frantic. Your body is adjusting to a LOT of fast changes; you had major surgery, you've basically stopped eating and you've lost a very large amount of weight in a very short amount of time. Your body is trying to heal with very little fuel. It is just trying to conserve energy; calories, and stored fat, are energy. You'll be losing again in no time. Try to stay calm and let your body heal and adjust.
That is a spot on explanation for the stall. And it passes, sometimes quickly, sometimes not. But weight loss WILL resume.
Yes, that’s why I stopped checking my weight all the time - I was constantly worried. My nurse told me not to weight myself more than once a week not to drive myself crazy. One more observation- my weight loss stalls every time around “that time of the month”.
Just keep doing the right thing, it’s not a straight linear process.

I am stalled out also, same as you. I lost 34 pounds in the two week pre op diet and two week post op diet. I haven't lost a pound in five days. It is so upsetting to me, I am a chronic scale watcher so this is the hardest for me. I am 69 so I don't move enough I'm sure, I have been doing chair exercises and waking more. Still no change! My surgeon said to hang in there and the loss will come. Good luck to you.
