Here's my list of self care. If anyone wants to add their own list, I'd love to see what others do. It can be very individual for what works for one person and what works for another.
- If it's not a "hell yeah", it is a "hell no!" Don't jump in to the things you don't want to do just because someone asks.
- Recite the serenity prayer.
- Go for a walk.
- Take a nap.
- Meditate. Deep slow breaths.
- Listen to relaxation music and do a foot massage or a facial massage.
- Go for a drive, pick a road you don't normally drive on and enjoy the scenery.
- Watch a "feel good" movie.
- Practice positive self-talk.
- Journal your feelings.
