Water and eating at work

I'm half way through the pre-op and having issues with the water and 30 minutes to eat a snack at work. I can't take two half hour breaks at work along with my lunch so I am tied to my desk on the phone and waiting on customers while trying to sip and chew. The snacks are taking an hour to an hour and a half to get down which seriously cuts into the time for sipping.

I am sure I am not the only one to run into this, so how is everyone else coping? Has anyone found a solution to this problem?

I have issues with this and I'm three months post op from the sleeve. I do health inspections at restaurants and such and drinking during an inspection is a huge no no. I tend to eat to fast which is an old restaurant management habit. I've gotten better and can always tell when I eat to fast now due to hiccups. For water the best idea I have for you is to sip (drink) more water when you can so the times you can't it isn't as bad. For me I have a large water bottle I try to finish by two. At two I am allowed my protein water and then one more bottle of water after dinner (finished by 8 so I'm not up all night). But you'll have to do what works for you and try to get onto a schedule.

Thanks! I have a 32oz with the hourly goal markers and could easily do it before they had me start training with the sips. So far with the diet and portions and macro goals this is the only problem I have had.

this is a medical issue you're addressing surgically, and the pre-op diet is part of it. Therefore, you should be able to get special accommodations from your employer. there's no reason you cant make up any lost time you need to borrow now at a latter day. i hear you saying you are overwhelmed by tasks and customers, but you have to come first. it's only a short amount of time you need the accommodation. good luck.
I really hate to ask for that. They are already being super supportive with all the time off for ten million doctor appointments, bariatrics is just a step to get a hip replacement that keeps getting shuffled to more and more experienced ortho surgeons. (each wants new xrays and ct scans because it is more damaged than normal)

Thank you though for putting it into better perspective for me!
