I started my pre op diet on August 12. I weighed myself at 436, which was consistent with weigh at the doctors office. I had surgery on August 28. I just weighed myself and I'm already at 390. That's 46 pounds in less than a month. While I'm happy to be losing, is this too fast?

Congrats Roy! While I am still a week and a half away from my surgery, from reading other peoples threads and stories it appears that everyone is different. I have seen some posts where people are barely losing weight to start with and others much more. How are you feeling overall? Your body is going to take control for awhile and lead you where you need to go. Trust it. So long as you are doing everything correctly, you should be good. Of course, as Diane would suggest, talk to your dr. I am guessing you are going in for a follow up in a week or two? They will be able to tell you if there is anything you should be concerned about. But for now, good job! Keep up the hard work and it will keep paying off!

Congratulations Roy!!! Nope, I don't think you have anything to worry about. :)
