Help having issues with my "port"

Im having issues with my "Port" i had lap band 1 yr an half ago and my port hurts all the time mostly the pain is so bad i have no movitation to do much due to the pain. . is this normal for the most part and i havent had a band fill in awhile, like months. I dont know what else to do???

Hi newtina,

I think my reply got lost in cyber space. What I said was that you should call your Doctor/Surgeon/Bariatric Center. My band is only four months old and although I experience some discomfort I no longer have pain. I don't think your symptoms are normal especially if this a new symptom. They may need to see you. Joy

Hi NewTina70, Welcome. Please call your doctor ASAP this is not normal. I have the RnY but have friends with the Band none have experienced symptomes like that a year and a half out. Let us know how you are doing. Tom

Tom and Joy are right, a doctor visit is in order. Pain is a signal that something is wrong and based on the lenght of time this has been happening it needs medical attention. Don't wait too long to make your appointment. Please let us know the outcome.
