I woke up on the middle of the night to throw up the pain pill i took before bed. Any suggestions on how to take pain meds

First of all, you can ask for your pain meds to come in liquid form. That's what I had right after my surgery. I could hold the liquid in my mouth and let it mix with saliva and slowly trickle down my throat.

Otherwise try mashing the tablets or emptying out the capsule into a spoonful of another liquid, like yogurt or soup and get it down quickly, followed with another spoonful of the same.

Or you might put it in something like Pepto-Bismol or another approved liquid supplement.

But before trying any of that, talk to your doctor and tell him/her your issue. It's important.
