It Hit Me Last Night!

 I'm seeing the surgeon on Monday to talk about taking my band out and then doing a gastric bypass. The loan money was also deposited into my bank account this morning. This is really happening. It has taken me 25 years to finally get the nerve to go through with this. IT IS REALLY GOING TO HAPPEN!!!!! :oops:o_O:p:D:cool::)

All the feels going on right now...……. Excited, scared, nervous, optimistic - just everything!

Girl you keep in mind your reasons why you are going for the surgery and don't let people talk you out of it. You can do it just like everyone else. This will be another tool in you tool box to fix what you want to fix. You can never go wrong when you are trying to get healthier and free from the restraints of the weight. I feel you. While you go to the surgeon I will be heading to my last appointment with my primary doctor before surgery. I have a little over a week left. And I am ready for this. I am excited as well but everything else I am not feeling. Go in with your head held high and come out with your head held high. Only you can bring yourself down no one else can. And let me know your results from the surgeon as soon as possible

You are so right, MB4! I am the only one that can really bring ME down. I wish I had gotten on here and read your words of wisdom before I went to the surgeon. I let the staff's attitudes get in my head yesterday. The nurse was not very nice. She was being judgmental about the fact that I failed with a LapBand, & that this is pretty much my last chance to get it right. She found it really hard to believe that I had "THAT" much trouble with the band. It was like getting punched in the gut - again. Why do people have to be so nasty?

My surgeon was great. He made me feel at ease. After he gave me all the info, I decided to go with the sleeve. I have to get a psychiatric clearance, cardiac clearance, see a nutritionist, take my cpap card in for them to download, and go to 2 support group meetings. I have been on the phone making appointment for everything this morning. My last appointment is for the cardiac clearance. It's on August 2nd. I see the surgeon again on August 7th. Easy Peasy!

When is your surgery, MB4? I know you've GOT to be so excited!!!! You are awesome!
