Need help getting back on track

I just joined this evening in hopes of finding some support. I have not been doing well with my eating and drinking and would like to chat with people who understand what I am going through. I had RNY in 2005 at 261 lbs., my lowest was 168 (not at goal of 150) and the last 3 years I have gained 28 pounds and am beating myslf up and feel really miserable and alone.

Hi CelticAngel, Welcome. Follow this link: http://www.americanbariatrics.org/content.php/80-Roux-en-Y-Gastric-Bypass-5-Day-Pouch-Test It will help you on how to jumpstart your program again. You are not the only one who has had this happen, I guess it just kind of sneaks up on us if we are not paying attention. You have come to a great place for support, don't beat your self up over this, it can happen to any one of us. Try the 5 day pouch test and realize that the weight wont come off as quickly as when you first had WLS but if you stick to the meal plans and get back on track with an exercise program you can start turning the scale the other way. Let us all know how you are doing. Tom

Hi. Welcome to the forum. I think it takes a lot of courage to step up and say "I need help". I haven't had my surgery yet, but right now I'm doing a lot of soul searching and reading other people's blogs so that I can figure out my own triggers for the future.
Gaining 28 pounds in 3 years is not horrible, but I understand that you don't want the scale to go in that direction. This is a good time to get back on track and I wish you all the best.
