Hello,

hope everyone is having an amazing week so far! Well I’m finally scheduled for surgery. I start my 2 week liquid diet next Tuesday. Last night I went to a meeting with the dietitian and was given everything I need it for my liquid diet. I was also given so much information to prepare me for surgery and after. Once I got home I felt overwhelmed because so much information was given: what to do, what not to do, what to buy, what not to buy.Has anyone else felt like this part of the process is a bit overwhelming? I want to make sure that I’m doing the right things in buying the right items to be successful for my new Healthy lifestyle.

I was given a binder with everything I needed in writing. It can be confusing. I have had to refer to the binder over and over.

I hope you got everything in writing! You will need to refer to it many times. . If you didn't, call your dietician and tell him or her that you need it in writing. Or else you will forget it. .

My surgeon’s team gave me a binder. It’s full of information. Yes, I have notes written all throughout that binder. I even have stuff written on sticky notes.

I agree. It’s soooooo much info. Did anyone have to drink Ensure pre surgery liquid? I have to drink 2 bottles of it the day before surgery and one 2hrs before I’m scheduled to arrive at the hospital
